Harvey Harris, M.D | |||
Dr.
Harvey Harris was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from University
of Texas at Austin with a Degree in Biology, then received his M.D. degree from
American University of the Caribbean. He did his internship at the University
of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and finished his residency in Internal Medicine at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Following the completion of his residency,
he came to Columbus and joined Dr. C. Dean Chipman to open up his practice in
Internal Medicine in Columbus in association with Dr. Chipman.
Dr. Harris was in the Premedical Honor Society at the University of Texas and held a position as a teaching assistant in the Department of Chemistry. He has taught in the Family Medicine Residency Program at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia and currently is Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Harris is a member of the Muscogee County Medical Society and the Medical Association of Georgia. He has served on multiple hospital committees while in Columbus, Georgia and also has been Chief of Internal Medicine Department at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Harris and his wife, Lori, have two daughters. The family is involved in traveling, fishing and other outdoor activities. Dr. Harris enjoys hunting, fly fishing and other activities.
