Dr. Larry Williams was born in Columbus. He graduated from Auburn University and received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He did an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. Following that, he opened his practice in Internal Medicine in Columbus in 1984. He joined Dr. Norman Goldman and Dr. Mark Funk in 1989, and joined Horizons in 1995.

He has been formerly Chairman of Internal Medicine at The Medical Center. He has served on Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at The Medical Center and the Physical Therapy, Nursing Liaison, and Infection Control Committees at St. Francis Hospital. He is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, the Muscogee County Medical Society, the American College of Physicians and the Georgia and American Society of Internal Medicine. He is currently chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at AT. Francis Hospital.

Dr. Williams and his wife, Aracelis have brought a new son into the world on 19, April of 2000. The three Williams enjoy their bassett hounds - Sherlock and their Lab - Smokey.. The Williams enjoy traveling, tennis, aerobics, weight lifting, Auburn football and are active at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.
